If you are someone who might be wondering why the posts have dropped off so much this past year, it is simply because I have been processing a lot of loss lately and losing myself in my day Job.
However, I am still interviewing people. I’ve got two interviews ready to go once I get a hot minute to plug them into the site. One with Fiadh and the other with Evergreen, two of the loveliest people i know. In addition to that, I am deep into an interview with the ever patient Cosmic Abyss, which has been helping me process my grief. I have meant to interview him for years and finally got around to talking with him, right when it turns out I needed it.
On top of that, I have sidelined some amazing people who are waiting to talk with me. It will all happen~ my job gets really busy in the fall and I am getting it set up and falling into the flow of it.
In addition to proper interviews starting back up again, I also have a compilation album that I’m going to release via Bandcamp with tracks from a handful of friends that will serve as a little fundraiser for the site. It doesn’t take much to keep it up and running, but it does take some funding and these days I’m personally stretched thin. It will be a decidedly weird piece of work, of course, but I think it will be fun.
And part of my processing the losses has been making music. Losing myself in sound as a meditative practice, finding the gratitude within, that has been essential. So there will be a few albums coming out of that process.
I know I’ve mentioned it before, but keep an eye out for those two interviews to drop, then that compilation album, and then the Third Interview. By that point some of the sidelined ones will manifest, and so on.
